TICKETS ON SALE SOOOOOON

Modrophonic (Help for Heroe's) Day/Night Saturday 24th July.
First up great turn out and great event on Sunday but I want to
deal with one issue from Sunday's event.
As you know Modrophonic was an all ticket event that sold out months ago.
Around 5 o' clock we went to the Queens for something to eat and to
help break up what was going to be a long day.
When we came back over to the Liverpool someone thought it was a
good idea to charge people £5 and let them into an event that was already
an all ticket sell out.
What on earth would have happened if everyone with a ticket had turned up
is beyond me, also this would have given people the impression that this
event is run by people who are in it for the money, which was never the case.
This point has been made and we leave it at that for now, we got lucky on
Sunday, as an idea that must be up there with some of the worst ones ever.
Anyway July 24th in The First National Pub here is what we have planned.
There will be a total of 300 tickets at £5 each going on sale soon and a
further 50 V.I.P passes for people who donate prizes for the raffle.
The V.I.P passes will just allow people onto the balcony at the venue.
All tickets will be numberd this time and you will swap that ticket for an
all-day wristband at the venue.
The raffle will be a super raffle, 5 winners only of everything there, we hope
to have loads of great stuff for people to win by the time the night is here.
The bands at the moment are MAD HAT SKA, THE BEATBROTHERS,and
WALLGATE CIRCUS, there is also Micks band MODROPHENIA and we are
waiting on the last two, when they confirm we will let you all know.
If all goes well at this one we will look to do a couple of winter warmers at
the same venue.
We don't want any events on around August because there is a mod stage
at this years Mathew st Festival which we feel should have its time to build
up to what could and should be another great mod event for our city.
At the moment both The Cavern and First National Pub are right behind
what we are all doing and we hope both venues will become great homes
for both our one day events and our annual Mods May-day weekender.
I think it is all there for us now, it's just a case of how much we all want it.
